hello is anyone aware of any free services i can use to call these scammers?
Yes, NEVER use your real number to call scammers.
https://Bobrtc.tel is built by our community and is a great resource for calling. Just sign up with discord to get started!
https://textnow.com is a caller system that is 100% free but only works well in the US. There is a guide to how to use this out of the US if you are interested.
https://voice.google.com is a google made alternative to text now, but this one DOES require both a real phone number and a google account to get started.
thank you so much! im just getting started and setting up a virtual machine is there anything else i should use?
may you also send me the tutorial for outside of the us

@guipc7#141346 Remember to use a fake/alt Gmail though… the scammers can trackback a google voice/hangouts back to the original email.

@ApplePie1000#141350 yeah you're right thanks for the advise dude
@Nova6 There is also FireRTC but currently they are not accepting people to use their service at the moment, and it will take a long time until they accept people again.
Why? Because someone made bomb threats and stuff using their service.
I Can say that FireRTC is useful for scambaiting!
You can find more information in their website https://www.firertc.com
Nova6: This can get a bit costly. However, on May 30 I bought software from Apowersoft about $70, which lets me record incoming and outcoming noise on the computer sound card. Before making a call, I click the "red button. I then go to “Google Voice” on the computer, wearing a digital headset. This stops scammers from saying they will not talk to me, because I am on speaker phone. If someone calls in, then I have to use speaker phone, a separate camera aiming at the phone, etc. However, it is good for outgoing calls, and that is how I speak to the majority of scammers anyway.

Say what? Kindly explain what you mean.
@dannyforyou#141359 not really. Bob just has online software that you can use for making anonymous calls. You can post numbers there but they are vetted by the admins. It has a very simple message board but it’s not really a scambaiting site per se
