I was looking for a way to call scammers from outside the US, and below is the list of applications/websites I saw being used by scambaiters here and my experience trying to use them:
1: Voip.ms: requires KYC, which I couldn’t get past
2: Telnyx/Skyetel/Flowroute: Had an account with Telnyx a few years ago, and had a pbx set-up locally on a vm, wasn’t the most practical setup, yet I couldn’t login to that account recently, and creating a new account requires a business email as well as KYC for business documents, the same goes to Skyetel/Flowroute.
3: Google voice/Textnow: Their ToS don’t allow account creation/usage outside the US/Canada. I have had a friend in Canada create me some textnow accounts, but they all got disabled as soon as I tried logging in from a new device without a VPN.
So with all that in mind, what alternatives are there to call scammers from outside the US, or what workarounds can be used to get the apps/websites mentioned above to work?
