Call Trader, LLC, a TCPA-violating Medicare lead generator that now sends fraudulent letters

Earlier today before I had to go grab groceries, my household received a letter from the “Medicare Support Hotline” urging my grandmother to call the toll-free number as she may qualify for a Medicare Advantage Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan. While the number wasn’t active due to Independence Day Weekend, the letter reveals that the “Medicare Support Hotline” was actually a subsidiary of Call Trader, LLC, a fraudulent pay-per-call lead generator that falsely claims to operate from a UPS Store in Corte Madera, California.

The company also does business as Madera Digital, LLC and thehealthscout.com and is listed as a “marketing partner” for several fraudulent lead generators, such as:

In addition to being sued for violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 in the states of California and Missouri, the company was named in a letter by 28 state attorneys general in response to the freakin’ FCC’s proposal to ban the practice of obtaining a single consumer consent as grounds for delivering unsolicited calls and texts from multiple marketers.
