“I called 877-303-7126 at 1:45 Sunday, September 7, 2025 to Brother USA support for printer support. He remoted into my computer. Chat box name was Dave. He told me his name was Kevin. Once he remoted the call dropped and he called me back on a potential spam number 908-546-6842. It looked as if he was int my computer running a troubleshooting scene…which then said the reason I couldn’t connect to my printer was because it was hacked. Showed all the attempts the hacker made from the end of August to current and at the end of my conversation I took a pic of my final screen and he aske me if I would like his team to take care of it. Thankfully, I told him I have a friend that owns a business that does this sort of thing and he hung up. Our support showed up this morning only to find NO hackers and that it was a potential scam. So some worker from Brother has a side gig…had I not declined this could have been a big scam.“
