On May 15, 2024, the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), alongside with the United States Dept. of Justice (DoJ) seized control of the online cybercriminal forum BreachForums in a collaborative effort with authorities in Australia

- The FBI has also taken control of a Telegram channel operated by forum administrator Baphomet, who is believed to have been arrested alongside fellow admministrator ShinyHunters.
- It is worth noting, however, that the website now displays a “temporarily unavailable” error alongside a link to the “Jacuzzi 2.0” Telegram server.
- The platform is a direct successor to RaidForums, which was seized on March 28, 2022 for selling access to over 10 billion consumer records stolen in the largest data breaches since 2015.
- The platform’s founder, Conor Brian “pompompurin” Fitzpatrick, was sentenced to 20 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to conspiring to commit access device fraud and the possession of CHILD PORNOGRAPHY.
- Anyone with information on activity within the forums is urged to provide tips to the FBI through the Internet Crimes Complaints Center (IC3), the FBI_BreachForums Telegram server or an email to [email protected]
