Once remotely connected to my virtual machine, the incredibly-impatient “David” ran the “tree” command in the Command Prompt so he can falsely claim my computer, network and phone lines were infected by the “Clampi virus.”
- I was then asked to log into my nonexistent bank account and my fake email address, so I told him I don’t do online banking and my email is closely tied to an iCloud account.
- “David” then raised a case to his “anti-hacking team,” but he refused to “suppoat,” so I called back and had “Ryan” try to continue the “suppoat” by having him call my Google Voice line from a spoofed Canadian line.
- I was then asked to provide the customer support number of my fake bank, so I gave him the 24/7 Lenny line and he refused to “suppoat”
There’s also a Jane Wood as a technician that I’m speaking with.
Did the vicitm send money?

As OP, no. We advised the client never to call them. Unit was wiped. Installed Linux Mint. Client is happy now.
