Additional information about this scam: scammer took over the FB profile of a long time friend that I hadn’t contacted in years. Made it look like he was into investing and his clients were doing well. I got sucked in and “invested” so BTC. I then found out from a mutual friend that the FB account had been hacked. I traced my $12K through 4 transfers to a wallet holding over $16M. I quit tracing after that. Clearly this guy is doing well for himself. I’d like to make his life miserable. I have a friend who works at FB who is handling getting the account back to my real friend. I’d like to make the scammer’s life harder though. I know I’ll never see my money again and that’s ok. Any help is appreciated.
