Additional information about this scam: “Sam” sent a fraudulent cold call to my cell phone, which is on the “do-not-call list,” falsely claiming my “securities” weren’t active for several days.
- I was asked to turn on my computer, open the downloads folder and run SupRemo (ID: 406 730 196)
. - Once remotely connected to my virtual machine, “Sam” attempted to view my webcam and opened the System Configuration tool and the Notepad in order to sign me up for their “security” plan.
- In my case, I was asked to pay $2,700 to S & R Services, though I refused to send a photo of a check and instead played him the Bhenchod Song.
