Best techniques to acquire scammer (preferbely tech-support and refund) numbers in 2023?

After finishing setting up all the usual stuff for scambaiting, the hardest part turns out to be actually finding these numbers. Of course there is this site but it is not nearly enough. I have seen that popular scambaiters like ScammerPayback get many emails sent to them with these scams. I am wondering how to get these emails. Also, many old videos show that mistyping links leads to these tech-support popups which are VERY rare these days. I’m wondering as someone new, how do you guys get these numbers?

For emails the best way would probbly to just create a disposable email adress and go around to a bunch of sites (like blog sites) and sign up for their stuff, i.e newsletters and promotions. If you want you can read their privacy policy to gauge how likley they are to sell your data. I would also have a look at https://mailbait.info/ although I have never used it so I can’t tell you how good it works.

As for popup scams I would have a read of this guide The Ridiculously Easy Guide To Finding Each and Every Scam Number, however popup scams are fairly rare these days as they are they are ridicuosly easy targets and usually get shut down very quickly.

Hope it helps

@bombard @pepper_jelly Welcome to the community!

I would begin by setting up many bogus email addresses (gmail & proton.me for instance) as I have about 16. As you call the scammers they’ll be asking for an email and they’ll put it on a list as they do phone #'s and over time you’ll start getting scam emails and texts to your burners. You can also check out Phone scams and robocalls. Who's calling me? Page 1, youmail, reddit & whocallsme just to name a few.

Here’s a great writeup & links by @NeePhttps://neepscambaiting.com/finding-scammer-numbers/
and here’s some additional info…What Are Scam Calls & How to Find Scammer Numbers

You can also go about it like @Dragon1, @Sol & @LordOfTheRings do by searching/calling a block of numbers (the last 4 digits). For instance if you have an 808-272-xxxx, keep trying with different numbers inserted.

Hey, I have used that site and together with mailbait.info gotten TONS of emails. The only problem is that the scam emails I’m getting are the typical “you have won $2000” and pls claim by clicking this link. But the link only goes to another place where I can enter my email for even more random emails. Main thing I’m tryna say is I have not gotten any emails with numbers to call (refund scams or any tech ones). Am I doing something wrong or just gotta wait more?

I get constant scam calls as a result of filling in those forms, maybe it just takes a while. Have you tried hunting for scams using the push ads or link maskers?
you’ll get them I’m sure.

Oh, I’ve only been filling the email requirement and backing out. Imma start doing the phone number too lol. Also, what calling software works best for you? I am trying to call using my pc. Currently Im using google voice, is there anything better?

I’m in the UK, it’s a lot harder for us.
Textnow, talkatone perhaps. Just know what you’re doing and never ever reveal anything about yourself.
