Scammer called me on a recorded line to ask if I had at least $5,000 in debt and if my household earns at least $15,000/year. Once qualified, they will redirect your calls to Jerome from the “Consumer Council.”
I called the number back, and they attempted to reach me about a “home improvement” product. Their “privacy policy” is presented at www.benefitadvisorusa.com, which presents a 403 error.
The link is a typosquatter for Benefit Advisors (benefitadvisorsusa.com), which indicated that a “completely unrelated company with a similar name” is behind these robocalls. As such, they have reocmmended that these calls be reported to the FCC and FTC.
