apparently thats a new thing: some random person messaged someone I know with a grabify link leading to this youtube video (this one is safe now!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEXKGEmUQ_U
This video has a Belkin router support number in it: +1 844 717 2888
So I guess they first take the IP address, DDOS people offline so the router crashes & restarts, do that multiple times, people get confused and remember that video/number and call up and take support.
First create the problem, then create the solution to this problem.
