Bandwidth is one of the nation’s largest VOIP carriers. In the past, we’ve seen them takedown numbers without question. During the original writing of this post, there was a period where it appeared as if Bandwidth’s wholesalers were ignoring abuse reports, which in turn made Bandwidth’s customer support experience rather poor. In some instances, the wholesalers took days to weeks before a response was given.
As of August 22, 2024, customer support has dramatically improved with Bandwidth and they are now one of the most reliable VOIP providers when it comes to dealing with fraud reports. Many of their wholesalers have also improved their response times.
This post will track and catalogue every number that is actively being used in phone scams on the Bandwidth network through various wholesalers.
To report scam numbers on the Bandwidth network, please email Bandwidth at [email protected], and be sure to include as much evidence as possible in your report. Be kind and patient.

This is a common occurrence with Bandwidth.

PCH is a particularly vicious scam that preys on the elderly and lonely. They tend to extort thousands of dollars from each victim and the scsms are usually long running.
Bandwidth used to say that they called the numbers to verify but, it seems like they decided to stop doing that. Shame on them and any other carriers who are too lazy to pickup the phone and call a number reported as fraud. Our team calls each and every number and attach audio along with all reports we submit.
so on the morning of December 27th I replied to the email to re-open the support ticket as the number still had the scammers voicemail message on it
This afternoon at 17:39GMT the number was still live with the fake PCH voicemail.
I then re-reported the number via the bot stating that they had claimed ‘appropriate action’ had been taken on the 27th.
I’ve just dialled the number now and it seems it may now be terminated
first reported on the 23rd with a recording, so that’s 8 days.
