Auto Call Back IRS Scam?

I just received 2 numbers about a hour ago telling me they are from the IRS and to call them back?

Are these scammers trying something new trying to confirm if any numbers callback to them?

I typically call with caller ID (spoofed #) of other scammers. So hopefully their list will be highly contaminated.
