Earlier today, I received a fraudulent voicemail (without a robocall) about their new “tax debt program” that they falsely claim I heard about in the news. When I called the toll-free number they asked me to dial, I was met with the Scammistani National Anthem before their representative answered under the guise of an “agent with The Tax Group, LLC”
User reports on 800Notes claim that the scammers are Indian, but are answering calls with a soundboard while posing as agents with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). However, a user on the “ScamNumbers” subreddit called the same toll-free number and had a representative reveal the true identity of their company as ATS Tax Group, LLC, a fraudulent tax consultancy firm that is listed on the Better Business Bureau as operating out of 101 Convention Center Dr Ste 1225, Las Vegas, NV 89109-2017 under the leadership of Greg Luke.
The ATS in their name is an abbreviation for American Tax Solutions, which is listed on OpenCorporates as operating out of 1055 W 7th St. #1600, Los Angeles, California, 90017.
And I know I’m not the only resident of Rochester, New York that they attempted to defraud, as News10NBC reporter Deanna Dewberry received a fraudulent letter from them in March of last year. The letter was falsely written under the guise of Monroe County’s nonexistent “tax processing unit” and falsely claimed that Dewberry’s property will be seized of she doesn’t call their toll-free number.
These fraudulent letters forced the Wisconsin Department of Justice to take action against American Tax Solutions in November 2022 along with the fact that they were operating in the state without a license. American Tax Solutions, LLC settled the case for $328,000 in consumer restitution and forfeitures and has been permanently barred from sending mail solicitations or selling any services to Wisconsin consumers.

American Tax Solutions, LLC and the ATS Tax Group were sued by Jordan Brewster in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey for racketeering under 18 U.S.C. § 1964 alongside GetATaxLawyer.com (now GetATaxLetter.com) and Equity Finance, Inc.
American Tax Solutions and GetATaxLawyer.com have also been sued by Michael Castaneda in the Los Angeles County Superior Courts over a labor dispute.
