Got a call from 1 800 331 0500 saying my
AT&T account was suspended. Since I dont even use AT&T I’m sure this is a scam. They might be spoofing the number, any idea of what to do about these scumbags?
yea these people that pose as phone company customer support often spoof their number as the actual customer support number. i once got VERY confused after calling Sprint Customer Support, giving them private info, then googling the number and seeing dozens of scam reports… but it turned out i was talking to the real Sprint customer support, but so many scammers spoof with their number that it creates confusion
anyway i called this number and it was a voice-activated automated system, which likely means this is AT&T Customer Care's real number, and u were called by scammers spoofing the caller ID
