Extra Info: at&t Phishing scammer. They say that they are offering an upgrade on your at&t internet and can setup a new account for you. They then ask for all of your personal information such as full name, address, dob, and ssn. They are very professional for scammers, but they are scammers. This was confirmed by the actual at&t. At&t said they would try to shut down the scammer’s number, but in the mean time I’m putting it here.
You need to give a real address or they won’t continue, I’d suggest picking a random one from Google maps. I’d also suggest finding a fake ssn generator online, because they check to see if it’s valid,
I must say, I got two Americans who sounded legit. They did ask name, address and 4 digit ATT passcode
Me too. Said they were a 3rd party Co out of Canada. Offered 1Gb internet for 75/month yet you can get that for 60/month from at&t. Said he was gonna give me a $200 gift card and I sent him to the att site that gave the same thing. Finally asked him why he was using Intelliquent voip and he had enough of me.
They told me the same thing! The guy I spoke to said they don’t use ATT because they’re a third party. It’s hard for me to read this one. ![]()
I called the official at&t number to check if this is real and they said no
They seem to have AT&T records
It sure is strange.
Foregone conclusion, but as you mentioned in your original post, they do sound a bit more convincing/legitimate than the usual shat stains we deal with. Very nice find Qwert!
These guys will call 800-531-5000 (AT&T official #) to verify your info same as the direct tv A’holes do.
