AT&T Payment Failed Scam

There is a phone number going around acting as AT&T’s automated SMS system.

It reports that a so called “payment” has failed and to call a phone number.

The number itself is not registered to an AT&T network from reverse searching the number and is actually registered to a Verizon network.

The number in question is above.

The message it sends is to call a number that is registered to Bandwidth.com

+1(205)287-0227

I have reported both phone numbers to their respective carriers and I encourage people to do the same.

I am not sure if either respond to the phone calls (haven't tested this) and I know for certain they do not respond to SMS texts after trying to respond.
I received this message today so the phone number in question should still be fresh until it is terminated.

If you report these phone numbers, lookup the abuse emails for Bandwidth.com and Verizon Wireless for your respective country (not sure if this is necessary).

Its a reactive card number … its says we regret tell you your card been locked please put on your 16 digit card number to unblock it … Scam

My bad, it’s not +1

It’s a 1 (410) number, that’s the way it displays for me, and that number is legit, I was probably tired and did not pay attention
