I encountered this while typing in the address for speedtest.net. I accidentally entered sppedtest.net and was directed to an average, generic, technical support pop-up which is targeting MacOS users. It’s not very malicious (as in making your browser unresponsive), but it does overly an imagine of a fake mouse cursor over your real one and put the page into full screen view if you click anywhere on the pop-up. They are active as of July 31st.
