Just had a funny encounter at this number. I called them asking that i cannot log into my mac. It was an indian call center - dude had a thick indian accent that he tried to cover up. I got the conversation going and then switched to swear words telling him, there is a police raid going to happen in your call center - you guys have been reported. Run right now otherwise your balls are going to be busted. He listened for a while and then cancelled the call.
I would suggest to create BobRtc link so that they can be messed up further.
@fidodude#113469 My friend’s Apple account was hacked. Not sure how she Googled and found this number for Apple support: +1-877-795-6999. These scammers must have posted fake Apple support pages with these numbers. At any rate, the Indian dude had told her in order to refund and undo the unauthorized charges i.e. eBay charges, she had to go and buy another eBay card from a retailer like Target, Walmart, so he can reverse them charges??? Good thing she called me, I told her this can never be true… Apple would never tell you to go and buy another gift card, to validate her account and reverse charges??? So the dude wanted to steal whatever $$$ amount that would be the gift card… Damn Indian crooks.
These are the unintended consequences and side effects when most American companies chose to go to India for customer support.
