Sure thing, my bad.
Just had a long heartfelt convo with “Chris” who swears he’ll try to get out of the scam biz. He was probably just pacifying me but he let me get in a bunch of bits that he now has to think about, e.g. “I know you don’t tell your parents what you really do for a living because you’re ashamed… as you should be” and the good old “you know everyone in the world knows about “karma” and yet it’s a word that comes from your culture. There must be something to that idea, and you’re fucking up your karma by stealing from people.” Guys like that I don’t curse at, I give them lots of arguments like “you seem smarter than the other guys, get out now before your picture is in the paper” – who knows if it does anything but if I get in any one person’s head and change their thinking it’s worth it. If nothing else, it’s a nice change of pace from the firehose of obscenities I’m better known for, ha!
The call last just over five minutes but he had so many opportunities to just hang up and he didn’t.
