Today is the first day ive come home from work to find this scamcenter calling me now, left a message claiming bad behavior on computer or something and must call back immediately. called from 718-489-XXXX twice within 20 minutes apart, then caller ID showed same name “Apple Inc” but were then using different phone numbers 571-449-XXXX then from 614-987-XXXX, then from 630-237-XXXX, all within 20 minutes of each ring.

Interesting situation… and I’m sorry that occurred, unfortunately though all of the phone number you posted lead to different locations of real Apple stores. That is why their caller ID name appeared as “Apple Inc.”. They were altering their outbound caller ID to phone numbers belonging to official Apple. I’ve removed the last 4 digits of each phone number just to be safe, since some people on this site unfortunately don’t read through full posts, let alone the others present in the thread before calling one. I can’t blame you for not knowing really, and you are in no kind of trouble, but just as a friendly reminder, please try to call any phone numbers back before posting them to the forum.
