This is an especially dumb group. They send you to the Language and Region page in Settings to show you pending charges on your account. They are also going to connect you with the FCC “An independent government body” to investigate cyber crimes.

Hold Music: Indian folk music.
Callback Number: ‪(805) 395-6857‬ (Google Voice)
Call Center Location: India :india:
Answers as: “Suppoat,” “Venmo” or the “Apple Department”
Technician: “This side Peter”
Falsely Claims:

  • Apple account generated under my identity.
  • Purchase of Apple gift cards made in California and Ohio.
  • I need to “close the fake account” by purchasing an Apple gift card

The first bhenchod refused to “suppoat” after answering as “Venmo,” but was nice enough to transfer the case to his “Apple Department” by having a coworker call me from their Google Voice line ‪(805) 395-6857‬ and refuse to “suppoat” as they are largely targeting smartphone users.

  • I then called the scammers back and “this side Peter” asked for the “email I use on my phone” despite having already been told that I don’t use a smartphone. I hung up when he asked me to purchase a gift card.

I love the “this side Peter!” I always respond with “that side disgusting Dalit scammer!” They dont really like that. Go figure
