Anydesk privacy mode/black screen

Hello there,

I have some scammers calling soon to connect to my PC via anydesk, they wanted Android but I stalled them to create a VM.

It's crypto related so I'm thinking to have a wallet on there with a scam coin reporting significant value in the wallet. If else, I'm planning to use a fake bank fork from GitHub and make it look like my actual bank... I've sent them html edited screenshots already so I've got a task.

Ultimately I wanna watch them either mess around with the useless metamask or watch them with the usual fake bank. I don't want them to give a black screen and me not see it, because that's not as fun. 😂

Anyways any insight is appreciated, I had the thought if I could connect by my phone before they connect, screen record the phone as back up.

I think I heard you can cut the internet connection and control alt delete, reconnect internet though I'm not sure if that's anydesk or another remote software.

Many thanks

I have plans in future to want to spoof Binance and whatnot, but that's gonna be beyond my skillset as of now.

@NorthWatch#184593 Cheers I’m aware of NorthWatch, is there a way to edit CSS though? If they’ve already seen my bank screenshots albeit edited, they’ll hang up instantly.

I think the perk to the GitHub one is there is its own CSS and code it fiddle with, though I'm not downplaying how cool NorthWatch is by what I've seen. Obviously miles better than the GitHub version.

@Seumiseu#184591 Another good option to combat the black screen would be something like https://bestxsoftware.com.

@Seumiseu#184595 Uh that isn’t a feature at the moment although 100% something I will look into adding. For now, there are a bunch of extensions that let you do it.

Another choice is Android phone emulator. BTW do run Wireshark in the background to capture their IP

@Lecter#184597 I do indeed already have a keylogger in place… As to weather it’s the best idk. However it does report everything to an online dashboard which is great. I think it’s called refog.

Though if refog turns out to be rubbish, I'll look into that one. So far so good.

Refog does unfortunately only sync every 5 minutes... But that wouldn't be too much an issue as it caps everything.

I'm still really really hoping for a live view solution still, if we know... I'm really gonna keep Searching hard though.

@NorthWatch#184604 No probs, NorthWatch does look absolutely fantastic nonetheless…

If you could point me in the direction to custom CSS and possibly html ($ to £ and all), I'd really really appreciate it. It might take some stress off using GitHub fork, custom coding, local host and domain mask.

@drwat#184614 Hmmm I think I get what you mean, like Nox and all? And screen cap that?

Very good idea, not entirely the direction I'm planning to take it, however, it could be a very useful direction.

I just thought based on your point actually, what if I connect my actual PC to the VM, and my phone to the VM too (if anydesk permits), or something along that formula. It might actually answer my problem.

However, I'd not have came to that thought without your point, so thank you!

I guess if I find the solution before someone should share the solution, I'll update it here; for it seems like an area not explored anywhere as far as I can find.

@Seumiseu#184648 Nox is good idea. I like Kox because it is lame (not perfect). Scammer does not see much, But I get a chance for my wieshark to work.

NW supports custom currency as a paid upgrade, this looks like a good option for custom CSS:

Just a fair warning, NW is being redesigned in Tailwind and version 4 will be out in the next week or two with a full redesign. This probably will break any custom CSS that you write.

Also keep in mind that the theme rotates every time you logout and log back in, so you probably will want to log in, make all your changes, take all the screenshots you will need, and finish up.

You can use ?theme=1 as a GET parameter on the homepage of any VM panel, and each time you refresh you will cycle through the themes. That might be helpful if you want to pick one that is as close as possible to what you've already sent over.

@NorthWatch#184731 Thanks ever so much

I'll be looking to achieve something like this weather the theme supports a similar look or that'll be a custom CSS job.

It'll be quite the task to undertake but I do already have a decent CSS experience.

Don't worry about there being anything important in the screenshot, there isn't at all, it's the same shot I sent them 😁

@Seumiseu#184744 Can’t wait to see how it all works out for you

@NorthWatch#184593 Thanks

@Seumiseu#184744 I don’t think that will be possible without significant changes to the CSS and HTML of the page. You are probably better off with photoshop for this one.

have you tried connecting another remote access software? i know that some scammers use https://www.remoteutilities.com/

theoretically, since remote utilities runs in the background without an open page, you should be able to connect from your host machine to your vm

i haven't tested this out, so idk if it will bypass the black screen but it's worth a try
