On March 2, 2026, the Bryan Police Department in Texas arrested 51-year-old Dallas resident Anthony Ogbroko for scamming a 95-year-old woman over a period of 5-6 years by
- Posing as a car parts salesman by the name of “Harry O Blake”
- Repeatedly asking for money under various reasons, like health issues and problems getting work.
The emails used to facilitate the scam were traced back to Nigeria and additional evidence collected suggests that Ogbroko may have scammed at least one other victim. Ogbroko is currently being held on a $250,000 bond and charged with theft of property valued between $30,000 and $150,000.
