Another Card Services scam

Received a usual “card services” call. After giving enough fake info to be passed up a few levels, finally ended up speaking with someone who is most likely actually in the US. He identified as “John Riley” with the company name of MyMonthlySavings, and he gave me 888-664-4817. He admitted they use Indian and Pakistani call centers to make their calls, and that’s why he “goes over the info with a fine toothed comb” when he gets it.

Whether MyMonthlySavings is technically a scam or not, they're definitely using scam call centers. I gave them a fake card number and they asked for the customer service number on the back. I gave them a toll-free that I own, and a co-worker answered pretending to the bank. They impersonated the persona I gave them in order to get the account balance, the whole 9 yards. Their program (as explained to me) is basically they charge a little over $1,500 to shop and find lower-interest cards, sign the victim up for them, and have them do a balance transfer.
