This number continually calls my place of work on our business line. There is no option to press a number to be removed from their “calling list”. When I pick up the call, an A.I. asks if Dean is there. If I say who? Or no, it hangs up. So after receiving several calls, I decided to say I was Dean. The A.I. asked if I was looking to go to college. Then they asked if I had a high school diploma or a GED. After that the recording said they would connect me with some who could help me free of charge!
I was connected to a man named Pete. He became infuriated after I politely explained that the number on their call list was a business and if it was possible to be taken off the call list. He was belligerent and swearing at me and totally accosted me over the phone. No professional person would do that! I called two more times and got him both calls. He was fuming! After the third call the recording said that there was no one available to take my call. I'm pretty sure he's the only one at this "call center".
Can anyone verify that this is a scam call?
I've been researching scam baiting for the past few months, making sure I know what I'm getting myself into and protecting myself. I think I'm ready now. Starting with Pete.
