A friend called the scammers thinking they are from Amazon & lost $250. They told him they need to verify him & asked for Gift cards worth $250 & said that will be refunded with the initial refund of $628.
This is the number +1 888-709-0685. Number is verified by me I called them myself yesterday.

They Gave him a different number for contacting them again. This is the number +1 855-401-3427 I called this number it seems like it’s them again they sound same.
I called the 855-401-3427 number and had a fun 15 minutes (edited from 19).

After they hung up the dude called back and we talked for about 35 minutes. I talked to him repeatedly about what he was doing was wrong, that he was taking advantage of people who didn't know any better and he gave me the typical "if you walked in my shoes, I was taken advantage of", etc etc. After about 20 minutes he really softened his toned and expressed some remorse with long pauses of silence. He asked what I would do in his position. I told him it didn't matter, he has to rise above and not have a hole in his soul. Who knows if I really got to him. Wish I had recorded that but didn't make the outbound call to link.
