Fake $999 charge for iPhone at Amazon
@drwat#132462 They wanted me to go to the App store on my iPad and install something… unfortunately, I don’t remember my apple login stuff ;-O Anyone know what they are trying to install?
@drwat#132462 Active bunch. Grandpa just had a 10 minute argue-fest with them, and he can get pretty feisty at times! I do enjoy how they say that the charge is “pending”, which is why you received the call. But when you ask about the refund they want to give you, the charge has already gone through! I was also told that I cannot decline the charge on my credit card, period. All the while, Grandpa pulls up his Amazon account and there is nothing about any of this there. Yeah, grandpa was having nothing to do with that crap!
Got the guy to admit he was in Pakastan. Something like "Ha - you think I'm in New Delhi? I'm in Pakastan you idiot". That was right after he asked if he should speak to me in Hindi because I apparently didn't understand english!!!! Loads of fun all around :)
