Message says not to order anything from your Amazon account until you contact them. You can press ‘1’ to talk to them or call their “toll free” number (it isn’t - area code is for Sacramento, CA). I called him up and he said they were getting ready to close for the day and if I could call back tomorrow! Said sure, but I needed to order some stuff on Amazon tonight and asked if he could give me a hint as to what the problem was.
He said there were some suspicious logins to my account from Nigeria. Note to the observant, he hadn't asked me for my name or Amazon account information before this, so it's obviously part of the script. I told him "No Problem, I'll just change my password". He said Ok, wished me a good night and hung up.
Have no idea what the scam is, but most likely that nefarious login from Nigeria purchased something and I'll need to 'connect to their server' in order to cancel it ;-) Guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out.
