Fake $274.31 (email message) from fake Amazon
@drwat#151440 Un-f’ing believable!!! Called the guy up - can barely understand him and it sounds like he is eating his microphone. He asked me for an order number, and I said I didn’t have the e-mail in front of me as I had to run, so I just wrote down the number and amount so I could call. Told me no problem, and asked for my name so he could look it up… gave him the Biteme Inthearse, and without even asking me to spell it, he said “Ok, it appears that someone has purchased a Norton Anti-virus software for $50 on your account”.
Something doesn't quite seem right! "Sir, that is only $50, why is my account being charged $270 something dollars"??? He paused a second and then answered:
"Taxes"
OMG!!! Over $200 in taxes on a $50 order - this guy was beyond over the top! I was dumbfounded and couldn't believe what he had just told me, so it took me a second until I went into a rage and poured it on thick and heavy. That has got to be the absolute stupidest off-the-script response I've ever heard! He didn't last long and hung up, at which point all I could do was laugh to myself for a couple of minutes trying to recover ;-)
