Call and say you had a missed call from that number, and you are calling back to see what it’s about.
Fairly busy call center based on background noise. Scam is a fraudulent purchase for an iPhone for around $400 (399 and change). Typical script trying to get you on the computer so they can play with you remotely. Guy I got wasn't real fluent in English and kept repeating stuff a lot. Typical fun exchange was something like this:
Amazon: Ok, now open your computer
Me: Open my computer! Wow... ok, let me go get my tools
Amazon: Sir, you need to open your computer
Me: Ok, I got my tools here - hang on a second
Amazon: Is your computer turned on?
Me: No, I turned it off because you wanted me to open the computer.
Amazon: Ok, turn on your computer.
Me: What? With the case off and all those electronic things exposed?
Amazon: No sir, I said to turn your computer on, not open it.
Me: No, you told me to open it, multiple times...
Amazon: You need to turn on your computer.
Me: Ok, I did and there was some kind of a flash and now smoke is coming out.
Amazon: Ok, open your browser.
Me: Dude, did you not hear me - I think my computer is now toast because of you.
Amazon: Sir, you need to open your browser.
Me: I checked amazon and didn't see any charges in my account... what Amazon account are you looking at?
Amazon: Started repeating my spoofed CID.
Me: Huh? I'm calling you using my next door neighbors phone - that doesn't make any sense.
Amazon: Sir, do you want your refund or not.
Me: Well, as long as we are pretending, sure, let me go get my iPad since you have now trashed my computer.
