apparently they got both a paypal scam and amazon scam running?
This is actually common for scam call centers these days, handling multiple scams at the same time. If they answer as PayPal, but you needed help with Amazon, they’ll likely forward your call to a coworker from their “Amazon Dept.” or falsely claim that PayPal is a part of Amazon.
