OK – here’s what happened with my comment I made below…

I called the real Amazon support and gave them the phone number I used and let them know what happened with the OTP situation… it turns out someone in the past used the same number I have on my app (2ndLine) to create an Amazon account from awhile back… The account was deemed as suspended though and was inaccessible so it didn’t matter. I’m guessing the account was created before I got the number because I’ve only had this number for about 2 days… If it was created within the time I got the number, then that’s really bad news, but I doubt that’s the case.

Anyways, my dumbass gave the scammers the OTP because I thought, “well, I don’t have an account under this number, so why not.” – that’s when they started asking for the email which I had never heard of, and when I started bullshitting they hung up. Never seen that happen before – has anyone ran into a similar situation?

Important question: I was messing with them for some time, and I gave the lady my phone number (just a burner number)… Somehow, an OTP text was sent to this number (when there’s no Amazon account linked to it). I’m not sure how this is possible, could someone explain?

She then wanted me to view an email address that started with the letter “B” ? – I wasn’t too sure what she was trying to get at, I stalled the conversation with more jibberish talk and she just hung up. Anyone know what happened here?
