They will try to access the Amazon account linked to your telephone number from their end, generating an SMS one-time-code from Amazon.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM VIRTUAL MACHINE BAIT:

  • The scammer answers as “Prime” and will ask for your name, ZIP code and the phone number and email address associated with your Amazon account. I provided fake information, and they blocked my phone number.

Baiting right now, they are asking for my card info, going to ask what the weather is in mumbai (where the website originates)

I asked them how it was. They hung up after saying it was NY and me telling them their number has been reported.
