Additional information about this scam: This number was active at the tail end of last week and is now also being distributed in scam texts: “We inform you that your payment for invoice AMZ#45187616 has been successfully received. To stop this Transaction, CALL +1-855-561-2257 To approve reply (YES)”
They have an IVR up front: “Thank you for calling Amazon. Please listen very carefully as our menu options have recently changed. To know about your previous order details press one. For dispatch details, press two. For damage claims or lost shipment press three. To report the fraudulent transactions press nine.” - pressing 1 gets me through to an Amazon impersonator.
