There should be programs , classes in like retirement villages like we have in Az. where potential victims could be educated …
I run classes and write a newsletter about assorted scams for the retirement community in which I live. I tell them, never click on a link in an email, call me if you get any calls regarding tech, banking or whatever. I think it’s helped. I have stopped several scams in their tracks and picked up some good phone numbers to scambait in the process. You’re right, it ought to be mandatory in retirement communities to have a goto person who knows scams.I was thinking about putting together a video for the other retirement homes around here.
