On January 19, 2026, our good friend Scam Sandwich published a video to his YouTube channel exposing Facebook Marketplace scammers who appeared to operate from an apartment just a few blocks away from the National Museum of Pakistan in Karachi.
How their scam worked was:
- The scammers operated multiple Facebook accounts to simply search for any listings of used vehicles on Facebook Marketplace, inquiring if each vehicle is “still available.”
- Once they get a response, the scammer will have their victim run a vehicle report on elitevehiclecheck.com, the scammers’ own website where they charge $40 for a free vehicle report from goodcar.com
- The $40 from the report goes to AJS Infopowertech, LLC, a bogus company operated by Maqsood Ahmed Joyo that will launder the money back to Pakistan.
While their original website of elitevehiclecheck.com has since been taken offline, the scammers are still active on motorcheckpro.com, which has received negative reviews on TrustPilot for stealing their victims’ credit card information to make additional fraudulent charges.
