These people claimed that they’re working in “my area” and that I “previously spoke to them in the past” about constructing an ADU on my property. Got told to go fuck myself when I asked them which area and which property
I’m not entirely sure that I can call this a scam yet, but at the very least it’s shady enough to warrant looking into more.
I’ve made two calls to them, they just seem to want to send someone to my single-family house to renovate our garage into a living space for me to rent out.
I asked how they got my information, they said there was a glitch in the system, and stopped responding.
I spoke with them, too. They said it was only for California residents. He said it was called THe Home Center in Encino, CA. I could find no business by that name anywhere in Encino.
Woman I spoke to gave vague answers as to what company they belonged too, stuff about “California housing agency” was all I could really understand. Seems like they don’t want us to know who they really are
Woman I spoke to very KGyyy. Knew what state I was calling from but I said I’m from CA. Did not want to talk.
I set up an appointment with them at a local abandoned house. I wonder if anyone will actually show up.
