I recently saw a video of someone automatically spamming a call centre with pre recorded messages. If ADAROSS finds scamm numbers, wouldnt it be possible to build an automated ‘spamming bot’?
1) Adaross is dying and needs a rework to be viable, today it only found one phone number.
2) What if scammers put up legitimate numbers for giggles?
3) Galligus does not have the abilities of doing so.
Also, there is a problem with ADAROSS where it often duplicates same scam popup and number
DO NOT DO THIS. First of all, you can’t leave auto-responding to unattended automation. Scammers will sometimes forward their numbers to cause trouble. This means your calls will bounce and go to someone else’s phone. The way the system works is that YOUR caller id will most likely be passed, not the scammer’s. You could be blowing up someone’s cell phone for HOURS leaving it unusable. The victim might not report the scammer’s number to their carrier, but your number.
The two most popular PBX solutions will pass the origin CID in a forward. Depending on which carrier the scammer is using, they could honor the CID the scammer sent them and use that as the CID, as opposed to the scammer's DID number stamped on the call.
Given that it's pretty slim pickins right now on new scammer numbers, the folks who are jumping on the ADAROSS and BOBROSS numbers are doing plenty of damage to popup scammers.
Thank you for the information everyone
