Phone scammer claims to be from “Accurate Financial” but likely is not … more likely SL Finance. Accurate financial is related to CIC credit reporting… CIC says they know of this loan forgiveness robocall scam, and suggested the robocall recipient should simply have their number listed on the FTC “do not call” list. That caused a bit more digging here. We determined that the scammer has access to real-time credit information. When mentioned to CIC (a credit reporting company) ie that the agent has access to real-time credit info, CIC became very interested in why and how we know that.
Bottom line, we suspect there may be a link between CIC and SL Finance in this robocall scam, but cannot prove that at this point.
