SCAMMER: johnpaul002334 (UID: 1483826871329095822)
FAKE STEAM ADMIN: michaelc_steam_support00 (UID: 929064114779750522)
The scammer will join random Discord servers and send friend requests to random users on these particular servers. Once accepted, they will ask if your Steam account is really yours, as it had been “accidentally reported” for “illegally buying products”
As i somehow have a “pending IP ban” on my Steam account, I was asked to contact a “Valve Fraud Moderator” on Discord, or else I may be punished for purported “violations of state and federal laws”
The fake admin I spoke to, “Michael C.,” asked for me to send a screenshot of the conversation I had with the prior individual, so I used this as an opportunity to send a Grabify link, which they repeatedly refused to click.
Despite this, we somehow carried on with our conversation as if they have, in fact, seen the screenshot, they then falsely claimed there were 10 VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) bans on my account before asking for me to take a screenshot of my purchase history, prompting a new Grabify link to be sent.
Much like the last time, the fake “admin” refused to click the Grabify link and wanted me to upload it directly instead, falsely accusing me of being “uncooperative” with their protocols. I continued once more with the Grabify link, and they simply blocked my account.
