The scammer will send random friend and message requests to users on Discord. Once accepted, they will ask if your Steam account is really yours, as they had “falsely reported” said account for “doing a scamming and illegal purchase.”
As my Steam account supposedly “have chance to get IP banned,” I was asked to contact a “Valve employee”
I added the fake employee on Discord and sent them a Grabify link under the guise of a screenshot of the conversation I had with the scammer. They clicked the link whilst using VPN Plus to mask their IP and attempted to get me to screenshare through a video call.
