A collection of 'Accidently Reported to Discord' scams collected so far

Information about this scam:
In late August all the way to right now, there are a wave of scammers from the Philippines who target people in the US by hijacking other accounts and telling their friends that their accounts have been accidently reported for fraudulent behavior. They will have to contact a “Discord support” agent to help out with the problem.

I, along with students of my university were among the victims. Usually, they perform this scam is that they ask you for your bank transaction history, before they ask you to send money to them through Paypal, Cashapp, or any money sending app of their choice (partly through real currency and Bitcoin). Once they get enough money or decide to take action immediately, they will use a generated email and tell you to change your account’s email in order to hijack it. Once time passes, the hijacked account will be turned into another their scam account to continue to attack other users (especially friends). They didn’t successfully steal my account, but the same cannot be said to the others who had fell for it.

I have, the question is if they’re actually the scammers or just another victim. I’m not sure if they are the scammers or the victims. The one nominator is the scammer asked for PHP (Philippine Money)
