@josephnormandgrinnell#139865 I noticed in your videos you call with *67… THIS DOES NOTHING.

We strongly suggest you use something like text now or google voice.

ApplePie1000 : Money is a bit tight right now, so buying a burner is not in the cards right now.

@josephnormandgrinnell#139928 He is correct, *67 only works on tolled phone numbers, and even then it is not recommended. Is there any reason you can’t sign-up for a free service like TextNow or Google Voice? I know they’re limited to North America, and I’m not too sure where you’re located, but if you’d like, I (and others) could make one and pass you the credentials.

these guys literally used an image, its an obvious scam lmao. rn busy so cant call might later

Norman_Harrison : I am going to give Google Voice a try again. It did not seem to work the first time I tried it. But then I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. In my view though, I can see a distinct advantage to letting the scammers come to me, rather than me have to chase disconnected and/or busy numbers.

Instantly hangs up

@josephnormandgrinnell#139977 I agree, you do have a point, but remember that Google Voice can receive calls too, it can act as sort of a proxy for your pre-existing cellphone number, passing the calls to it whenever someone calls your Google Voice one. I know you’ll have to spread the new number around to get people calling it, but it’s much safer in the long run.

Norma_Harrison : I finally got Google Voice installed in a second phone that is not connected to a phone network. I also changed the voice mail message on the phone that is connected to a phone network, to not mention my precise name and phone number. It took an install, an uninstall, a reinstall, and a lot of swearing. The time to learn something new was at age 17, not 47.
