Message on calling the number back.
Message: Thank you for calling us back. Please press 1 to remove yourself from our calling list. ( Female Voice ) Then another female computer voice: Goodbye (then disconnects)
Question also: Is the goal to get you to Press 1 or is it just seeing if you will call back and they will call back to scam you if you don’t press 1? I of course didn’t press 1 waited and then the “Goodbye.” Thanks
There are thousand of numbers the same as this all over the area codes and toll free prefixes.
There tends to be more in the toll area codes in concentrated clusters.
Scammers either spoof these deliberately or by random chance there’ll be one of them on a randomly spoofed CID.
There is that many of them I would say it’s the latter
Yes just wondering why they don’t say leave a message versus press 1 to be remove you? Is the pressing 1 a charge? I thought that had been done away with years ago fraudulent charges by doing that.
