(888) 689-9094 - Tech Support Scam

Scammer’s Number: (888) 689-9094

It’s an Antivirus Tech Support scam. I called them at 10:15 AM CST and got humans. You will have to enter some goofy “verification code” that the bot first gives you when you call them to get live scammers.

They got super mad and called me back twice after being cursed out and belittled by me, The alternative number for them is 845-809-4250. Verified as of 10:25 AM CST!

These guys are great, @scamterminator2021 !!!

Hviezdoslav, tell me more about your experience with them!

There was one guy who could NOT pronounce English very well. I strung him along for a lil’ while. He had a very thick accent. I suggested to him eventually that he remove the c_ck from his mouth AND look up the definition of the word “enunciate” in the English dictionary BEFORE he attempts to pronounce English. He did not get extremely angry in response. I think after you messed with them @scamterminator2021, they did not seem to have the same defiance and anger. His response to me though was not angry but was more a response of frustration.

There was another guy and I think his name was “Peter” and I could understand him and his foreign accent well enough. I played along awhile. Eventually I mocked and ridiculed him. He also did not respond with great anger but seemed to have realized that there are a number of us messin’ with them. He also seemed frustrated and disappointed more than angry.

Well, I gotta get back to work.

I had a window of opportunity, so I thought I’d try to have some fun with some cowardly criminals!

Hviezdoslav, sounds lovely. They must have cooled off their original edgy South Asian tempers LOL

i got his login details also he is so dumb

i got to one of them i got his id his name is amit bajaj

1 ring

We must have scared them away and they stopped using the number haha.

Great job, @Matt_from_Wii_Sports !!!

Yeah, they must have got sick of us! :grinning:

They make you go to “Norton Support” or my.norton.com, which may be legitimate sites, but I think they’re just phishing for details. I didn’t dare try to go to those sites because they might have been their own phishing sites. On “Norton Support” they say that you can push a button to get a Verification code of your account, it’s supposed to be Ten numbers long, no letters

He just gave me the number for the technical scam department (Norton LifeLock Support): 1-800-745-6034. It’s a verified scam number https://community.norton.com/en/forums/scam-4

The guy just pick up. He accepts Norton subscription cancellation

They are a known scam. I’ve read more about them on BobRTC recently. https://bobrtc.tel/numbers/d/888-689-9094-tech-support-scam
