Just got a call from a guy claiming to be from CenterPoint energy saying he was going to come cut off my gas or electricity, he couldn’t decide which, if I didn’t call 855-966-7237 in the next 15 minutes and make a payment

this is an obvious scam through & through, they verified the amount due by checking only my phone number, & won’t accept credit card payments, promising to contact dispatch to stop the in-progress shutoff, I fumbled with the zip code & he immediately disconnected

They either disconnected the textnow or I was blocked (I think the latter)

Gave Random name and random “account number” he said some last name and said I have a pending charge, did a fake Zelle and seems to have believed it.
Apparently their “update” is causing issues with their phone and payment systems.
Tried charging me twice because “first one didn’t come through” (I didn’t send any actual money just giving them fake conformation numbers.
Wasted 1 Hour, Call ended after I misedited a screenshot
