Scam Number: 850- 970-0979
Domain Used:
Extra Info: rategenie.com fake
website … Don’t give corporate # look up number to fake looking web site
Please confirm.
It says the domain expired:

So that means scam?
No. It means someone bought the domain but didn’t renew it, so whatever company they bought it from put up a placeholder so that they have a chance to renew it again later (or something like that, I think).
The number you specified isn’t on there, I’m not sure about rategenie.com’s connection to it.
Thank you
You’re welcome
Googling (850) 970-0979 did not bring up any info.
Oh, I found a website URL that has “rategenie” in it but I do not see any phone number. If you click the Customer Support link, it pops up into my email to send an email. The URL is as follows: https://rategenie.io/
I found the following URL for rategenie and it seems to have good reviews: https://www.g2.com/products/rategenie/reviews
Maybe the website that is no longer up at the moment is pretending fraudulently to be the rategenie place. I do not know.
I am on phone with a guy now as I called the (850) 970-0979. “Joseph Jamie” is what it seemed he said. He said he is with rategenie. He asked how much of loan do I want. He verified my address without even asking me my address: 2975 Troost St., in California. My TextNow number has a California (909) area code. He connected me to a woman who is a Senior Agent. She asked him where are the files. He told her that I called back. He got off of the phone and she took over. I said I want a personal loan for $100,000. He’d said when I asked that their headquarters are in Arizona but they have offices in all states. I asked her the address of the headquarters in Arizona and she said, but she said the headquarters are in California. She said she is not in rategenie and she is with Nationwide. She said he got her on the phone because rategenie cannot handle the higher loan amount of the $100,000 loan I’d told him I wanted when he asked me how much of a loan I want.
Well, finally I hung up as she asked me for my address and I need to use the bathroom (haha). It is interesting though how he verified my address as 2975 Troost Street in California but I do not remember the city. I’d not given him my address though. He saw the (909) California area code of my TextNow number I am guessing. When he got her on the line and he was on the line with us briefly, she asked him my name and he said he is getting off of the phone, so I gave her a fake name Jordan Hoover.
I did find the following URL for a Nationwide that makes loans and at the bottom of the webpage it has the BBB Accredited symbol: https://www.nac-loans.com/
