So I called the number, as General George Armstrong Custer – I always insist they address me as General Custer, – and insisted my PayPal account had been blocked. So we load up Anydesk and I had a couple instances up so I could try reversing things to his computer, but he couldn’t get connected for whatever reason (I run a Linux version I’ve adapted to look just like Windows) and it may be he tried to run some Windows executable, which, of course, won’t run. Anyway, the connection dropped. I mad lunch for my wife and got two calls back from a different number. I was busy so I didn’t answer, but called back just now to the number 561 961 8912. I assumed it was spoofed but it got through to the scammer (feel free to call all you want). He insisted my George Armstrong Custer was OK, I said it wasn’t and I couldn’t log in and wasn’t he PayPal support? Yes, he said. So I told him to fix it. He said he woujld give it to his supervisor. Not sure I’ll hear from them. He sounded vaguely suspicious. LOL
