Robert Brown was doing the screening, and eventually passed me off to Jacob Hall. They really don't have their act together... for example, the guy was asking me about my bank account and how much was in it. I told him that I would just take the money out before the froze the account and keep the cash. He said that I couldn't have more than $100 on me and that is why I need to convert it to a 'federal bond'. I then acted all freaked out regarding the $100 and asked what I was supposed to do with the cash I had on me at home. The $20,000+ under the mattress sort of took him off guard, and he put me on hold for like 10 minutes. When he got back on, he asked if I was at the store?!? Ok, so we took a few steps back and started over.
He started getting really pushy towards the end... I guess I was frustrating him a bit too much. Then he launched into the 'alternative' to buying the gift cards, which was to hire an "international criminal lawyer" to represent me in court and spend thousands of dollars to clear my name ;-O If that is what I wanted, then he would go ahead and suspend my SSN right away and send the legal officials to my doorstep to take me away in handcuffs.
So I just puked on him... said "No you won't". He insisted he would, so I replied "Ok, I dare you... go ahead, do you best asshole". Wow, he blew up at that point. So we went back and forth for about 6 minutes and even though I called him out as being a scam, he kept playing the part as usual. I think it wasn't until I just came out and said "Dude, you have been pranked... get that through your tiny little brain - it's over dip shit", and I think the light bulb finally lit for him and he hung up.
Oh, the senior dude tried to verify my phone number thing, but to get around it I acted confused, told him what the recorded line said, and repeated the number I was supposed to call. I guess he just got frustrated and decided to let it go.
